1st entry. Reflection.

The first entry in this blog consists on a reflection about different things such as: the use of ICT in education, what I have learnt in this course, interactive whiteboards...

This document is divided in six sections: reflection, webpages analysis, a summery of what I took into account when a did a rubric, three tasks to be done with a wiki, interactive whiteboards and a report about the use of ICT in the school I went to in my internship period.

3rd entry. Story Jumper and rubric

In this entry, you will find two links. The first one is a story made with Story Jumper. I consider this programme as one of the most useful I have learnt in this course. I really loved preparing the story and telling it to the pupils.

The story is called "Leafy, the leaf that wouldn't leave", and tells us about a leaf who is afraid to fall from the tree.

The second link will take you to a rubric I prepared to evaluate 8-year-old children using Story Jumper. Doing this rubric made me realize how useful they are.

4th entry. Hot Potatoes

Here you have another programme I have learnt to use in this course. It is called Hot Potatoes, and helps us to create five types of excersises:

- The first one is called JCloze, and consists on filling the gaps of a text.
- The second one is called JQuize, and allows you to create multiple choice questions.
- The third one is called JMatch, where you have to match each question to its answer. In this excercise it is possible to match words with their meaning, objetcs to their photographs, and so on.
- The fourth one, is called JMix, where you have to order the words to build a sentence.
- Finally, the last one is called JCross, which helps you to make crosswords and even writing some hints.

6th entry. Skype conversation

In this entry, you can find a skype conversation between me and a classmate called Andrea Monreal. We had to answer the next questions:

1. What is useful of what we have done? What are you likely to use?
2. Readings. What have you learnt from them?
3. From Aulario_Syllabus. What are you interested in from sections V and VI?
4. What have you seen teachers use in your internship? What do you think teachers could improve by using ICT more?

7th entry. Excel spreadsheet

Here you have a link to an excel spreadsheet with a grading system for a class. I have considered six items: creating a wiki, creating a story with Story Jumper, reading, listening, speaking and writing.

These are the scores of each item:
-Wiki: 13%
-Story Jumper: 13%
-Reading: 15%
-Listening: 20%
-Speaking: 25%
-Writing: 14%

I have chosen these scores because I speaking and listening are the most important skills due to the fact that these are the skills used in a conversation. The rest of the skills are less important but also have to be taken into account when grading your students.

Besides, I have also included two graphs, one indicates the percentage of every skill, and the other one the average of the students in each skill and the total average. I have done it in a way so that if I decide to change a percentage, this automatically changes in all the frames and graphs.

Although it is difficult for me to understand xcell spreadsheets, I have learnt many things by looking at tutorials on the Internet. That is why I encourage all the teachers to use this device and all its options.

8th entry. SurveyMonkey

In this entry you will find a link to a little survey placed in SurveyMonkey entitled : "Trying to improve the relationship between school and families". As I am a Pre-primary teacher, I have prepared a survey to give parents the first days of the course so that they give some information about them, how they would like to contact me and the topics they would like to talk about when we have our first meeting.

9th entry. WebPage

Using Webnode, I have created a webpage called Orreaga Ibáñez Latasa where I speak about the importance of creativity. I have divided this webpage in four pages: Homepage, Ken Robinson, Contact Us and Photogallery.

In Homepage, I talk about me and the importance of creativity in education. In the page called Ken Robinson I talk about him; there you have the link to a couple of very interesting videos. In contact us, you can see my e-mail adress and Ken Robinson's webpage. Finally, in Photogallery, there are several photographs related to creativity.
